In the winter months skiing and snowboarding are a popular activity. Several skifields are nearby. Mt. Hutt is about 40 minutes south, Porter Heights is the same distance north and Mt. Olympus is the closest club field. There are also club ski fields in the Craigieburn Range like Broken River, Mt. Cheeseman and Craigieburn.

Helicopter Skiing

This is a one day tour by four wheel drive through some stunning New Zealand scenery starting and ending at Quickenberry.
